Tunisia: Modeling Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the last week of March 2021,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.concept.tn\/en\/qui-somme-nous\/\"> CONCEPT<\/a> provided senior engineers with<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onas.nat.tn\/Fr\/index.php?code=3\">National Sanitation Office<\/a> and from theCompany of Promotion of the Lake of Tunis (SPLT) training on the modeling of watercourses using the HEC-RAS software, applied to the North Lake Belt canal in Tunis.<br>ONAS and SPLT have been jointly managing this 5 km long canal since the 1980s, which has a dual function: on the one hand, to protect the lower town of Tunis against flooding in wet weather and, on the other hand, to avoid the frequent pollution of the North Lake by the effluents of the combined sewerage system of this part of the city.<br>The objectives of the training were to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Master the theoretical bases of free surface hydraulics (knowledge of the methods of calculation of the water line, of flows in the right of structures)<\/li><li>Know the prerequisites for the implementation of river hydraulic modeling (data and basic tools needed)<\/li><li>Know how to model the flow of a 1D river in steady state and in transient state and exploit the results<\/li><li>To understand the model of the Tunis North Lake Beltway which integrates lateral weirs and pumping stations.<br>This training concludes the study of improvement of the functioning of this canal system, study entrusted to CONCEPT by the two organizations mentioned above.<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durant la derni\u00e8re semaine de Mars 2021, CONCEPT a dispens\u00e9 \u00e0 des ing\u00e9nieurs cadres de l\u2019Office National de l\u2019Assainissement (ONAS) et de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Promotion du Lac de Tunis (SPLT) une formation sur la mod\u00e9lisation des cours d\u2019eau par le logiciel HEC-RAS, appliqu\u00e9 sur le canal de Ceinture du Lac Nord de Tunis.L\u2019ONAS et [&hellip;]<\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":13323,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[49],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13313","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualite-projet"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.5 -
