Two Key Contracts for a More Flood-Resilient Côte d’Ivoire :

1. 1. Abidjan (Abobo & Cocody): Flood Mitigation Infrastructure

• o Rehabilitation of retention basins to improve flood regulation
• o Stabilization of talwegs (including the famous "4-étages" talweg, one of the deepest in Abidjan) to prevent erosion and overflow
• o Nature-based solutions for seamless urban integration.
• 2. Bouaké: Protecting Vulnerable Areas

• o Development of main talwegs to channel runoff water.
• o Erosion control measures to safeguard riverside communities
