The consortium CONCEPT SA CONCEPT SA / CONCEPT AFRICA / CABINET MERLIN continues to conduct technical studies (Preliminary Design Report [APS] and Detailed Design Report [APD]) for the implementation of ten (10) multi-village drinking water supply systems (DWSS) in northern Côte d'Ivoire. The APS report has just been approved with high praise from the client, the National Office for Drinking WaterONEP).

During the debriefing workshop held on May 14, 2025, in Abidjan, the consortium team presented the detailed results of the Preliminary Design Report (APS), covering:

  • The hydraulic aspect
  • Socio-economic analysis
  • Environmental assessment
  • The hydrogeological study
  • The design and sizing of infrastructures

Key Project Infrastructures

This drinking water project includes:

  • 15 new boreholes
  • 46 km of transfer network
  • 65 km of main distribution network
  • 90 km of secondary distribution network
  • 6 water towers (150 m³, height from 15 to 22 m)
  • 6 pumping stations
  • Appropriate safety equipment

Estimated budget: ~9 million euros

Validation and Positive Feedback

After a detailed presentation and constructive discussions, the APS report was approved. The technical responses provided by the consortium team confirmed the feasibility of the project.

This drinking water supply project, designed for needs up to 2036, will significantly contribute to improving living conditions in the northern region of Côte d'Ivoire, by guaranteeing sustainable access to clean water for 124,320 inhabitants.
