Algiers, capital of development challenges for Muslim countries in 2025. From May 19 to 22, 2025, Algiers hosted the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, a strategic event bringing together representatives of the 57 member countries, economic decision-makers and development engineering experts.
Among the regular participants for more than 20 years, the CONCEPT group has marked its active presence through the participation of its President Mr. Imed E. Nouri, marking its commitment to structuring projects financed by the IDB in Africa and the Muslim world.
The history of projects entrusted by the IDB to CONCEPT dates back to 2003, with the completion of a first flagship project: the drinking water supply of the city of Touba in Senegal. Since then, the group has consolidated its expertise in sustainable infrastructure, its latest project financed by the IDB being the Conakry Sanitation Project (PAC) in Guinea, for which studies have been carried out since 2020 and work is currently underway.
This multidimensional project includes:
Rainwater drainage
Treatment of sewage sludge
Household solid waste management.
It constitutes a concrete example of the impact of IDB financing in improving living conditions and the development of African cities.
Strategic meetings and future prospects
During these meetings, the President of CONCEPT met with key decision-makers, consulting engineers, and institutional partners, particularly those from Guinea-Conakry. These discussions provided an opportunity to explore new opportunities for cooperation in future projects supported by the IDB and other international donors.
CONCEPT’s commitment to a diversified and digitalized economy
Through its involvement in IDB projects, CONCEPT contributes to the modernization of infrastructure in Africa. These initiatives are part of a broader vision: promoting inclusive and sustainable growth through innovation and the digitalization of key sectors. This commitment was strongly reiterated by Mr. Nouri in the interviews he gave to Algerian television. (See link below)
In conclusion, CONCEPT's active participation in the IDB's annual meetings confirms its commitment to major development projects in Africa.
