ESTABLISHMENT OF MASTER PLAN FOR URBAN HYDRAULICS (WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS)

The purpose of this study is to define a set of actions aimed at improving the supply of drinking water to the populations concerned under conditions that guarantee the profitability and financial equilibrium of the urban water sub-sector.
Data collection, diagnosis of existing urban water infrastructures and study of rehabilitation, renewal, extension (new works) of 8,240 kms of distribution networks, 550 kms of supply pipes, 21 ground reservoirs of 5,000 to 15,000 m3 capacity, 72 water towers from 50 to 3200m3 capacity, 107 village tanks, 140 boreholes with flow rates from 200 to 350m3/h.
05 treatment plants from 1500 to 130,000 m3/h; analysis of consumption history; evaluation of the needs/resources balance, establishment of master plan variants (production, storage and distribution), evaluation of master plan costs

Define the current and future drinking water needs of the populations in the 72 centers in the different areas of use.
Assess the degree of satisfaction of those needs for the resources being exploited until 2025.
Inventory and diagnosis of all the existing infrastructure (boreholes, water points, reservoirs, networks, ...) and this, from the point of view of ''state'', ''capacities'', ''operation'', ''existing relative documentation, ...
Evaluation of available resources and research/proposal of new resources.
Socio‐economic surveys.
Evaluation of the necessary works and investments per center.
Propose a master plan for the development of each center.
Restore all this information through a digital database associated with a geographic information system (GIS).
Establishment of basic criteria for sizing.
Presentation of the different variants.
Economic, financial and technical evaluation for 2011 to 2025.
Choice of variant retained.
