As part of the technical monitoring of the project 'Updating the detailed technical studies for the development of stormwater drainage structures in the city of Bouaké', a restitution workshop for the Detailed Preliminary Design (APD) was organized under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Prefecture, in the presence of the Vice-President of the National Assembly of Côte d'Ivoire, who is also the Deputy Mayor of Bouakéas well as representatives of PARU, theONADlocal authorities, and stakeholders.

Key results of the study presented

The workshop made it possible to present the main deliverables of the study:

Complete assessment of the existing drainage system

Identification of areas vulnerable to flooding

Proposed technical solutions for sustainable stormwater management

The study also integrates major themes: solid waste management in the gullies/watercourses, environmental protection, landscaping, improvement of the living environment for local residents, and awareness-raising measures to ensure the sustainability of the structures.

Field mission to validate the proposed developments

At the end of the workshop, a joint field mission was organized with all stakeholders to confirm the planned developments and verify their suitability with ground realities.

A dynamic aligned with Bouaké's National Excellence Award

This participatory approach illustrates the commitment to the prosperity of the city of Bouaké, recently awarded the 2025 National Excellence Prize in the 'Sanitation and Cleanliness Initiative' category in Côte d'Ivoire.
