On April 16, 2026, as part of the Conakry Sanitation Project (PAC), the Sonfonia Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (STBV) was officially commissioned. Funded through a co-financing arrangement between the Guinean government and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), this strategic project was carried out under the delegated project management of the National Agency for Sanitation and Public Hygiene of Guinea.ANASP).

In partnership with an international consulting engineering firm, CONCEPT provided the technical studies as well as the monitoring and supervision of the works. This intervention ensured the technical conformity of the structure and compliance with the quality standards required for an infrastructure of this scale.

With a treatment capacity of 250 m³ per day, the Sonfonia STBV offers a sustainable solution to the indiscriminate dumping of fecal sludge. It therefore represents a major advance for public health and the protection of Conakry's urban environment. The infrastructure integrates high-performance equipment, enabling optimal waste management in line with international sustainable development standards.

This achievement fully illustrates CONCEPT's expertise in sanitation engineering and hydraulic infrastructure supervision in West Africa. By intervening in strategic phases, from technical design to rigorous monitoring of execution, CONCEPT demonstrates its ability to make concrete contributions to projects with strong technical, environmental, and social impact, serving local populations.
