Abidjan, During the week of May 26 to 30, 2025, the group CONCEPT took part in the annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB), organized this year around the theme:
“Making the most of Africa’s capital to promote its development.”
Participation in Strategic Content Parallel Events
Mr. Nouri, CEO of the CONCEPT Group, took part in key sessions covering crucial issues for Africa, including:
Climate finance and the energy transition
Implementation of the African Union Agenda 2063
Strategic investments to enhance natural resources
Modernizing African economies through digital technology.
Discussions, led by panels of international experts, also provided an opportunity to present and discuss major reports produced by the AfDB, such as: ✔ The African Economic Outlook 2025 ✔ The African Public Service Delivery Index
Meetings with Ministers and Senior Officials of the AfDB
On the sidelines of the meetings, Mr. Nouri met with important figures, including:
The Ivorian Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Health
The Guinean Minister of Finance
These discussions confirmed CONCEPT's commitment to these countries, where the group has been operating for over a decade. The Ministers were also informed of the progress of ongoing projects entrusted to CONCEPT in their respective countries.
Other meetings also took place with senior AfDB officials, opportunities to inform them of CONCEPT's arrangements to contribute to future operations that will be initiated by the Bank in the sectors of Water, Sanitation, Waste and Renewable Energy.
A Commitment to Sanitation in Africa
An information exchange meeting was also held with officials from the African Water Facility (AWF), the AfDB's body for mobilizing financing for the water and sanitation sector. Earlier this year, the AWF had entrusted the EY – CONCEPT consortium with a major study on the state of the sanitation sector in six African countries, with a view to identifying a priority investment program within the framework of the African Union Sanitation Investment Initiative (AUSII). The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the progress of the pilot study and the prospects for sharing its results with other countries on the continent through similar projects.
